• This course intends to take the desirous and diligent student from no knowledge of Koine Greek to reading the New Testament in its original language with minimal aid. We will begin with the Greek alphabet and proceed through the rudimentary concepts and forms of the language. By the end of spring, the successful student should be able to use the Greek New Testament for both deep study and daily devotionals.
  • Greek 2: A Study of 1 Timothy is designed for anyone who has taken at least three semesters of biblical Greek and who desires to grow in studying the Word in the original language. In this class, we will work through the Greek text of Paul's first letter to Timothy. This amazing pastoral letter from Paul to his "true child in the faith" deals with the amazing power of God to save sinners, the importance of sound doctrine, the essential role of obedience and godliness, and the nature of Christian ministry. We will focus on translation and interpretation of the Greek text and will use interpretive tools such as diagramming and arcing.

  • Greek 2: Reading the Greek New Testament is an intermediate study of New Testament Greek centered in vocabulary, conjugations, declensions, grammatical constructions, and translation of various portions of biblical passages. In addition, methods of Bible study that highlight Greek grammar and usage will be studied. These methods include sentence diagramming and arcing.
  • This course is part one of a two part presentation of the fundamentals of Biblical Hebrew with a primary emphasis on basic morphology and general syntactical relationships, accompanied by a mastery of elementary vocabulary.
